Elaborating on this partnership, he explained how Bitskwela, a Web3 edutech company, will leverage Filipino KOLs, Web3 communities, and student organizations to promote understanding of Polkadot’s interoperability, modularity, and security features.

Diving Deep into the Polkadot Ecosystem

Following this, Cris Nguyen, a core contributor of Polkadot Insider shared insights on Polkadot’s vision and how they foresee the Philippines leveraging Polkadot to realize its potential for more project development.

Echoing this focus on education, Patty Arro from Polkadot SEA delivered an extensive presentation on Polkadot’s core principles: scalability, interoperability, and governance. She emphasized how these pillars are essential to building a decentralized and interconnected Web3 ecosystem

Patty Arro, Polkadot SEA representative

“Polkadot is a next-generation blockchain protocol that unites an entire network of purpose-built blockchains, allowing them to operate seamlessly together at scale. Because Polkadot allows any type of data to be sent between any type of blockchain, it unlocks a wide range of real-world use cases.”— from the Polkadot whitepaper.

The protocol’s architecture is built around the relay chain, or Layer 0, which underpins shared security and consensus across the Polkadot network. Attached to this are the parachains, or Layer 1 blockchains, which connect to the relay chain to ensure unified security and consensus, fostering an integrated and interoperable network.

Bullish on Polkadot projects, indeed!
